The First of Six
Peg is my oldest sister, born in 1955 when Mom and Dad were still very young. At the time they could not have known that they were about to have three children in three years—and eventually six children in only ten years.
Because she came first, Peg was there at the beginning of nearly every chapter of our family story. She knew our parents before the house filled with babies, toddlers, school clothes, birthdays, church steps, beach trips and all the commotion that followed.
These early photographs show Peg not only as a little girl, but as the beginning of the sibling group that would define our family for decades.
