My Nephew JJ
JJ is my sister Mary's first of two sons. Like so many of the family pages on this website, his original page began simply—as a small collection of photographs placed online so they would have a home and could be shared.
The pictures preserved here come from two family occasions: Mary and Joe's wedding and a later breakfast visit with Mary and JJ. Together they show the formal celebrations and the relaxed, everyday time that make up a family's real history.

JJ's Birthday — December 17, 2005
These photographs capture a warm family gathering for JJ's birthday. Children, presents, and everyone crowded together made it one of those lively celebrations that becomes more valuable with every passing year.
Mary and Joe's Wedding
A wedding brings together relatives who may otherwise be scattered across different homes, towns, and stages of life. These photographs preserve JJ in the middle of that gathering, surrounded by family and sharing one of the days that became part of everyone's story.
Breakfast with Mary and JJ
The later photographs are quieter and more informal. There are no wedding clothes or large crowds—just breakfast, conversation, familiar faces, and time together.
Those ordinary visits rarely feel historic while they are happening. Years later, however, photographs like these can bring back the setting, the expressions, and the simple pleasure of being together far better than memory alone.
A Page That Can Keep Growing
This modernized page preserves every photograph from JJ's original page while making the collection easier to read and explore on phones, tablets, and computers.
More dates, captions, photographs, and stories can always be added later. For now, these pictures keep two valuable chapters together: a major family celebration and one of the quieter visits that mattered just as much.
